Sylvan Guard is a guild open to all good or neutral races and classes. It’s main purpose is to protect the forest from evil forces and celebrate and protect young travelers of our land. Any evil guilds found roaming the good forests of Norrath shall be resisted and defeated. But on the lighter side, most of our time is spent celebrating, engaging in Quests, and teaching and assisting younger adventurers that come our way. And of coarse we will bash some heads while grouped to prove our valor and earn the respect of the evil Orcs, Gnolls, and other races.
The leaders of this fine Guild are Rangers and Druids, but any who support our cause will be accepted. Hunting in the forests is allowed, but only for what the animals may provide. The items we recover from a fine beast should be used, when possible, to help the young adventurer. A lion is a joy to hunt and its coat can be used to make armor for a wandering human who is having trouble in a deep forest. We shall help each other in all cases, providing skilled work for the cost of materials, such as a tailor making armor for free when given a ruined pelt and a pattern. We shall adventure together, and have parties in the forest as well including drinking, story telling, trading, and of course, dueling.
We wish our title to be proudly shown as a beacon of those who will help a stranger in need. Evil guides will shake at the sight of a pack of Sylvan Guard roaming the woods they thought they might travel through! And of course, those of the opposite sex shall swoon at our tales of valor and adventure.
The leaders of this guild shall not stand for any special treatment and shall try to guide the guild through convincing others of our points. We are adventurers just like you. However, should the rules or spirit of the Guild be broken, members shall be cast out and erased from our stories and memories after a vote. This charter shall not be changed without a two-thirds majority vote of all leaders, and will reflect the will of our members.
Entrance will be allowed to any kind-hearted souls who pass a simple test of faith and courage. The test will be decided by the officers and shall reflect the location and experience of the person asking to enter. A good reference from others will of course help.

We will role-play or not based on the situation and people. People with both the role-play switch on or off are allowed, and those with the switch on shall be in character when talking to others who have the switch on. No hard rules are in effect for the level of role-playing, but “ooc” will be used for truly out of character talk. We do not want the guild to be oppressive and we will be flexible enough to handle a wide range of playing styles.
